NM#30 – Phew!!!

Phew! Finally the madness comes to an end. Soo Relieved! But I am  super proud of myself for finishing this. 🙂 I never thought I could post for every day all the more reason why this milestone feels exhilarating!I-did-it_1.jpg

More later..

Two things – 1) I did not get tagged 2) I did not get any award. This tag is solely for NaBloPoMo. Its 22nd and I have already drained myself out of topics.

I have never been an avid blogger, neither am I  very creative. My blog posts are always about mundane stuff, day to day events, my thoughts, sometimes reviews and very rarely about recipes. So I am totally clueless on how I am going to survive for next 8 days :(.  I know I don’t write that well ,but the only reason I blog is because its therapeutic. There are days when not even a single sole comes here ( yes I do check stats daily) . Yet, writing eases my tensions. Its like taking all the tensions and putting it into this virtual space.

When I took this challenge I knew I would not even post for a week, let alone complete the whole challenge. So having come this far, I don’t want to quit. I was searching for some tag to tick one more day and kind of took this from my good friend Visha‘s blog.

Rules of the tag:

Answer all the questions. No ‘pass’ or ‘no idea’ type of answers.
(No cursing me if you found the tag to be difficult while attempting.)

Here is the tag :

List all the ingredients which went into making the most interesting dish you ate today.
What is the current wallpaper of your laptop/phone/tablet?
How do you wear your hair when at home?
When you visit any restaurant, what is the first thing you search for, in the menu?
What is the advertisement from your childhood that you recall even today.
Have you implemented a beauty tip/hack which you were told to, and been mortified by the results?
At your home, where do the newspapers find themselves to be the most useful?
During a visit to any mall, what do you find yourself searching first?
This tag is over now. Explain your state of mind.

Go on. Get tagged!!

Happiness is..

Thanks Swaram for this tag! I just got back home after standing in line in the ATM and was wondering what to write about and I see your post in the reader..

So happiness is …

Getting my first 2000 Rs note 🙂

Rock On..

Ok, this is going to be a cheat post again because I just got back home after watching Rock On 2. Both me and my eyes are extremely tired and I can’t wait to crash..

But, let me give a quick review of the movie before I go..Not sure how many of you remember Rock On (1?). Honestly, I have very few memories. Rock On 2  is sort of a continuation of the original one.  The movie was a bit slow and not at all commercial. It was like watching a play or a serial. I don’t know why but I liked it!

I was telling S that its time people look beyond mirch masala and appreciate movies for performances, the thought process and  the concept rather than giving too much importance to the star cast and the commercial aspect. So, Rock On 2 was quite slow but the overall story, the locations, the emotions were all fantastic. The music was really good and Usha Uthup rocked!!

I am sure all of you know what Quora is but I still wanted to write about it. I really love Quora and even if one person starts using it after reading this post then the purpose would be served. Quora is basically a Question and Answer social media site. Remember the good old Yahoo Answers page? Quora is very similar to that albeit much bigger audience.

I am still not an active Quoran since I neither ask questions nor answer. I use it primarily for exposure to diverse subjects. Quora has wealth of topics .It makes us realize that there are so many things that we need to know about, study and research.  It gives you a realisation that there are so many aspects in life that we need to improve upon. Everytime, I read some inspiring story I get into a slight guilt that so much of my time and energy is wasted thinking about unnecessary politics, negativity and what not- that precious time which I could use for productive effort. Anyway, I am taking baby steps and havealready  started implementing small self improvement steps that I have read in Quora.

I would urge you to give Quora a try if you haven’t already. I am sure you won’t be disappointed!
